Melpomene

By Corinthian

Melpomene

prayer
worn canopies
and dreams of sense
 unhidden .

above you
 I will forever stay
  unforgetting and
spinning
tales
 for you
wind rocking
 beneath this
calligraphic
underground sky
    mossed soul
quiet tears
invisible light
forgettings . wishing not to hurt

I shut my eyes and felt my way
along this stone.

let loose
from
his tiny eternity

incomprehensible

"wind rocking beneath this calligraphic underground sky mossed soul "I love this metaphoric phrase... My mind-memories are pulled towards the words of the great James Morrison, but there is definite originality here. The intro verse captured me; your words kept me on. I'm not sure if I'm meant to understand exactly, but often that is what makes poetry. Perchance I'll revisit & dig harder into the flesh of these words... for now, I'll just enjoy the "poem of the day" what I read. Incomprehensible? Maybe, but it's a great slice!
