The 13th year (pt.6)

By maggot death

I woke up in the morning, immediately thinking about the boy. I have about 5 years to go before I escape this creepy place, and I want to get to know everyone. I don't know why, but I want to know more about him.

A couple of hours later, I ate breakfast. I was thinking about what it would be like to get out of here, even though it's only been like a week.

Then the phone wrang.

It was quite surprising, because the old cord phone looked like it stopped functioning long ago.

I picked it up wearily, almost not wanting to know who was on the other end.

"Meet me in the courtyard in 12 hours..."

Then the line went dead. I was a little shaky, and I wondered how I would even be able to do that.

I went back to my bed, and I lied down. Everything is happening so fast, I said to myself. I didn't want to meet the mysterious stranger in the courtyard, and I wondered what would happen if I didn't show up.

Your descriptions and conversations were top rate. I am enjoying the reads so far. The word jailee may not be the right word there. Try prisoner or even guest.
