First off, we have two new council members to announce: carlosjackal and Anna Helianthus. We thank them for their willingness to serve and hope you will send them congratulatory dpmails!

Next up, there are three new graduates to announce from DarkPoetry College: Tracer, Adam and Karen Porter. Congratulations for all your hard work.

Finally, we have a new inductee into the Order of the Raven, TropicalSnowstorm. Also we have five initial inductees into the Legends of DarkPoetry.

DarkPoetry's cabal system has been drastically improved. Members of cabals now have their own official chat channels, can make cabal-only contests, and their leaders have broader powers to manage and create a cohesive group experience.

Members of DarkPoetry can also create their own cabals more easily and quickly, with only a moderator approval of the charter necessary to start the group.

It's the intent of DarkPoetry to continue to flesh out these sub-cultures within the greater whole, so please send your feedback and ideas.

Oh, and from now until December 31st, any member who upgrades to an annual Full or Gold membership for the first time will get a t-shirt for free!

DarkPoetry is going to start offering some swag, and we want to give some away for free to the member/members who help us find just the right words.

Your mission is to unearth ONE reasonably short but powerful quote from an original poem on DarkPoetry. Anyone who turns up a phrase that we decide to choose will win free stuff for themselves and the author of the quote.

DarkPoet is going to teach the introductory poetry class POE101 for donations only this go-round. Suggested donation is $30, but if you take the course and feel it wasn't worth a dime, you'll pay nothing.

Students who succeed will be permitted entry into the Journeyman Scholar cabal. DarkPoet will also be refreshing much of the content for this course and fleshing out the curriculum for the next course which will turn out our first Artisan Scholars.
