With no train coming" Very very clever. Impeccable descriptions with multiple meanings. I always love this kind of subject matter as well. I feel like there is always something unseen we can learn from the pariah of society. Interesting that she ends up 'empty handed' because a miracle is too much to ask. And empty handed symbolic of alone - with the other man but not holding his hand not truly "WITH" those around her. I am so thoroughly impressed. The intricacy is admirable. You write some mighty powerful stuff!"
