My writing tends to be dark at night and more upbeat during the day. I have won several poetry contests, one internationally. I am published. I am looking for acceptance for my work, those close to me cannot read it without believing there is something wrong with me. I smile on the outside but am so down on the inside. I fool some of the world, but I could not even do that if I could not write dark poetry.

Update: I am very ill. I just started a 48 week course of chemotherapy. I used to teach. Now I think it is my time to learn again. I come and go to the site when I can. The days when I am too sick too leave my bed I write. I think those are some of my best works. Sometimes I read. I thank all of you for reading, commenting and being there for me. My world would be very lonely without this site.

Go with the wind,
You heart is no longer here,
And will not return,
Without a star's sparkling tear.
So fly away child, nearly grown.
While your eyes are so empty,
And your spirit is so alone.
Bones hollowed and cleansed with burning tears,
Iridescent flash of light,
To each spirit infused with hope,
This will bring a transcending flight.
Please let the wind take her,
And carry her away.
It is what the piercing wind
And ever constant turning time will say.

Shhh, my love,
For it is alright.
Come with me into the starry night.
Stars are like diamonds falling from the sky
Not as lusterous as the sparkle I want to see in your eyes
The night is black
I have loosened the binds,
That have kept you tied so tight to me
My angel,

I will never let you out of my site
