So yeah. I wrote this poem as part of a huge creative writing end-of-the-semester project portfolio. It speaks a zillion words or more about a topic that just irks the f--k out of me::

[“sick and tired of being sick and tired”]

Because I’m tired of always trying to change; adapt to your horizons.
Because I’m sick of always being improper-- “not a lady at all.”
Because I’m tired of “crushing” meaning “she wants to get laid.”
Because I’m sick of my tongue piercing meaning, “She’s just a dirty whore.”
Because I’m so tired of always chasing the same damn stars.
Because I’m so sick of being just an inch or two too short.
Because it’s tiring being bored because I no longer get high.
It’s sickening that because I don’t, I’m “just a goody two-shoes.”
Because I’m tired of coloring in the lines you’ve drawn for me.
Because I’m sick of YOU defining who I AM and will always be.
Because I am more than just a page in a book you scan through.
Because I write my own stories and I decide all the details.

It's not all that great of a poem, but its voice is fairly strong.

People just make me want to go on a killing spree. I hate when people predict who I am, assume who I am, and try to tell me who I am. I realize everyone stereotypes (and I'm no exception), but damn-- some people make me want to scream. Haha...and I'm normally the happy easy-going one in 'the group.' :

I guess I just hate feeling like I can and cannot do things because I need to stick within a certain boundary that was created by someone other than myself. I'm not black and white in this area. I'm a f--king rainbow. :-p

Who isn't, elisa? People can be idiotic conformists. The sad thing is, they succeed in bringing people down with them. Jo, it's great you don't let them do that to you. Don't feel too bad about it. They're not even worth it. =)
