Introspection
By Winter Born
My brain is on fire
my emotions dark
This memory needs
but a single spark
Something of a child
(Is he mine?)
Playing oon swings
In some bright Park
Gay colors
Happy designs
A child alone
wonders if he'll ever find
A father
A family
A friend...
Mother is calling
Time to go home
Playtime is over
No more to roam.
Daddy is a soldier
And he is never home
Mommy's at work
So he's always alone.
(Fuck! He's mine...)
(What have i done?)
(Sacrificed my family)
(What have I become?)
(Left them behind.)
(to save people I don't even like...)
(Fuck....)

I really liked this- the last stanza was sharp and clear. You weave a very good story here- why isn't he certain of his father? How did the soldier meet the mother, or know about the boy? Opens up many questions to feast my mind with. Thanks for the write!
