Many Doored House

By johntaiyu

The myths of salvation
and sin, and grace,
though seeming true,
weren't

nor is there
some great thing
among many
to seek

as if trapped in the dark
of a many doored house

and sitting quietly
these sorts of words
fade back
to what
they just
always were

not keys but the steel
from which cages are made

as I wonder
how it could be
that without the cage
there is an outside
at all
