sanguine doves

By Cassandra

theres a thunderstorm embedded within the northern lights tonight
in which i am blessed with a needle and your remains
surrendering to raindrop romances and droplet love songs
woven into every star punched in the spectrum of deceit.

at last i recall
my heart crashing
and burning to ashes.

in a stricken attempt to singe the sky closed and envelop the stars
to satisfy my own greed and cup each wish in palms bled dry
cracked glass burrows beneath calloused skin.

and i weep.

when guilt captures tainted souls and empty hearts
deception reveals admitted defeat and finally
i've clutched my own throat__
__numb fingertips cascaded by puddles of grunge and pools of crimson
searching for the end of days marked by a tequilla and vodka halo.

i paint my own lips with prone sanguinity and attempt to suture your wounds
where i once slept in tidal waves of nebulas and desire
and with final gasps for breath i mourn burnt skies
and kiss torn wings

another dove lost.

~i feel that vice makes wise because of many other writes that contains the motif that people learns something from bad experiences...this one is exceptional though...has some different feel that is hard to touch like surreality...very cool
