The Cushion and the Bell

By johntaiyu

I thought I required deliverance
and chased rainbows
for salvation
until such time
as it became finally clear
how far you can run
without moving an inch.

Now that there is nothing to deliver
and glimpsing the shadow of needlessness,
the cushion and the bell
are my closest friends.
