Dove Psalm

By kiss of the dark

My dove, I loved you at your darkest...

When all you could do was cry for a love that would
Surpass any tragedy
Bring meaning to your breath
And give you a reason to sing.

My dove, I loved you at your best...

When love songs cried from your fingertips
Onto the black and ivory keys;
Bearing Heaven's anthem...
Makuing me cry at the sight of your
Beautiful hands.

My dove, I loved you when you kissed my face...

You showed me inconceivable beauty
With a single kiss of your starry mouth.
I swear, I could taste nirvana on your lips
And see Shangri La in your eyes.

My dove, I loved you when you could love no more...

The shame shadowed your eyes from the truth
The lies possessed your soul and killed your heart.
They buried you underneath the roses and thorns
I tread upon your grave waiting for your spirit to take me with you
Instead, you let me die on the hostile roses to purge the silence...

My dove, I love you still...

Despite the wounds and scars you left
I am still in wanting for your touch, your mouth,
Your hands, your music...

You gave me life, My Angel, and have also murdered me...

I gave you my love and my life, and still my dove...

I love you

Wow...nicely done. I too have been through the tumult of human emotions with someone who fails to reciprocate in the way I needed; it truly is one of the life events that shapes who we are.

This broke my heart about 500 times over, with each line, another piece fell! I'm wondering how you could ever call my dribble a poem, when you write of such beauty, yourself. Just wow. *Bravo* Julia~
