Burying Angels With Snow Shovels (You're the Angel Pt 2)
By Fading_Smile
Like making snow angels in July
you melted me for the summer
an eyeless expression for my coal heart
you’re my scarf and dammit I am dripping
You cried me another figurative river
but this time I sailed into September
like an insect lost in amber
I’ll give you my every winter
I would give you so much more
And though the sun may set at night
it’s fruitless to brave sleep when you burn brighter
showering in fireflies until dawn
you captured the most brilliant to hold
You captured my mind, my soul
And though you may not have the key to my heart
you have all the keys to my smile
you are the reddest rose I’ll never pick
so I’ll bury you in snow till I can’t get out my front door
The red fire, burning passion, I miss it
my eyes are now like ice, a compliment to your cold shoulder
I once was fiery, but now I am frozen
try to turn me back, it’s too late, I’m melting from your uncertainties
I’m Melting
Please Stop

goddamn...there are sooooo many lines here that I could quote, but there's not enough room for me to rewrite the whole piece. This is especially sobering for me to read...because I know every feeling you've portrayed. This is an instant fave. ~*Beth*~
