One Tear at a Time
By TornPaperDoll
One tear at a time, I forget you
One tear at a time, I regret you
One tear at a time, I let you go
One tear at a time, I let my true self show
I feel myself suddenly becoming weak
As I beg for the words you dare not speak
I find myself rummaging through thoughts
My brain is a mess and my stomachs in knots
I watch hopelessly as my attempts fail
To get you to stay…just a little while…
You’re forgetting all the bits of me
That made you love me
And I can’t recall our exact chronology
As i drown out my own apology
Because I’m asking for forgiveness
For all your bitterness
So, one tear at a time, I sense myself fail
One tear at a time...to no avaail...
