Making Love In The Rain
By Muse
Twirl us in this dreamscape, baby
Where rain kisses our skin like
Diamond tinted dewdrops,
Jaded grass cushions our fall to reality
And…
There, we can watch our lives shatter before sparkling eyes
Empty behind murky windows of illusion
Where we’ll fingerpaint pleas in the dust and grime
Wordless calls of “HELP” on fogged glass
That every passing car misses on their journey to nowhere
And still we’ll make our vows of dying love in the rain
Frost roses twirl up from frozen lips
Melted with screams of nonsense to crystal thunderclaps
Defiance ringing through our souls until we collapse
The burdens of this world too great
As our bones creak and crack,
We’ll hold onto each others
Bodies twined in desperation to drag a new breath
Lovers dying to be together forever
Baby, will you love me ‘til death do us part?

That was so beautiful... I'm not sure what to say. My words can do so little, and this poem is so much... incredible.

gives new meaning to the old, cliched phrase. You made this scream in tones of silent longing all the while it was whispering in shouted syllables of love. This is beautiful. ~*Beth*~
