Between Us

By TornPaperDoll

I’m looking in his eyes
But I’m seeing you
My face is showing it
And he’s wondering who…

I’ve lost what I had
He’s lost almost all of me
And you’re standing between us
But it’s much too late for his begging plea

I don’t know who knows me better
Me or my heart
I’m not sure which man to take
The already known or the fresh start

He’s loved me good
You say you’d love me more
He’s touched so much in me
You say you’d touch me like never before

His love felt real fine
And I look forward to what yours would be
But I’m just a scared little girl
So, yours is a love I’ll never see.

A very tragic and painful display of what so many of us go through, the one we have always loved or the one who we know we would love even more? such a hard decision to make. A love we know will always be there, or a love we have no idea as to how long it
