Silently, While Driving

By wannabe_rebel

A thorn in the side,
I’ve got thorns in my mind;
your looks give me chills
and your kisses could kill.

My feelings for you
are just a knot in my guts,
but I’m trying to heal
all your cuts.

Now yours are scabbing up nicely
but my stitches have torn,
the streetlights are lit
on the roads we drive down.

The moon, it shines yellow,
reflecting the sun.
You’re afraid you might get hurt.
You’re not the only one.

    Interesting read. Any time we put ourselves in that position we risk having our own wounds abused. But no risk no reward and all that. Think you captured the moment well here.
