The Buzz It Gave

There was this guy
when I worked
in a psychiatric hospital
who whenever he could
would take out his dick
and piss in the wall sockets.

I guess he liked the buzz it gave
or maybe
it helped him
see God,
or something.

It would anger the staff
like nothing else
I'd ever seen
and they'd always run haul him off
to the quiet room
where he'd be tied down
for a few hours
until he promised
never to do it again.

Over and over.

I don't know who was crazier:
him, for doing it,
or them, for getting so
upset.

I suppose
you can't have guys
running around
pissing
in the outlets
all the time,
though.

Because whenever
you open things up
even a little
the next thing
you know
everyone
would want to do it.
