Memory of a girl in a alcohol related car accident

By Anoblechicken

Slowly disappearing,
withering away
She can't feel anything now
She's gone away
time to let her sleep,
but it's hard to let her go
everything is cold
tears don't keep me warm anymore
What is my fear?
is it the fear of death
or is it the fear of not knowing
what's going to happen next

Dear Athena,
I wish you were here,
you are so much more
then a girl in a alcohol related car accident.
You are a beautiful young lady
you had so much passion and love
I miss you, I love you.
And some times I put on that jacket,
the one you gave to me.
It still smells like you
so as I sit alone and cry
I wonder if your okay
or if you feel any pain
or if you don't feel anything at all
but whatever you feel remember
you are not forgotten
and you are loved, at least by me
love always and forever
Andrea

No flowers to rest
As I get down on my knees
I put my fingers in the soil
so she can know that it is me
I can hear her now
she says she is free
I guess I just don't understand
what she means
just searching for truth
in a world swirling with lies
and the memory of a person
can keep them alive
in some one eyes

The hardest times to leave comments are the times that I feel it is needed the most. Works like this is a shining example. One can never say anything to bring them back, to save their pain, or to truly comfort you. All we can do is tell you this is a beautifully written tribute and hope time eases your pain but never chips away from your fond memories of those we have loved and lost. Scholar
