Ode to the simple girl
By LordBrosnian
To a simple girl I send these words
Which seem to slither freely fro mine heart
As the dew so slips fro quaking leaves
Raptured in the fluting of the winds
Pon first glance my eyes rebuked your cause
As the wind removes flame's right to dance
Neath the humbled gestures of your smile
From distance didst I breathe your soul's perfume
The way you looked upon the addle - brave
Mayhaps it was the sharpness of your wit
Pervading thro the gate of flawless lips
The way you calmed the waning hopeless - Deep
Afore my lips recieved the chance to spoil
The quirks about your mild statements calmed
Inspi'ring me to think - so vacantly
Of things, mayhaps, together we could share
Anamorta, serpent, vulturine!
bespoke effronted fear from empty lung
Many nights afore this bright encounter
I've shivered languid from the rolling tides
Swelling, frothy breakers from the hearts
Of harpies, alchemists, and avid queens
Who once enslaved the raptures of mine heart
Appearing once a mirthful, simple girl
Apollo left mine sodden, pruny skin
To glisten once again under his ray
Such simple fears ellude now justified
To ne'er again be thwarted by the tides
Still, as I look across the table - gripped
By flowings of the steem from soothing cups
I must confess your eyes sing heaven's tune
Capturing my gaze like gaudy stars
Unlike dimmed, astral orbs yours always burn
So passionate they've rented out mine thought
Would you, a simple girl of earthly wit
Consider gazing pon the stars with me
For beauty captured by ones doleful sight
Recedes as winds of time may leave their mark
But candles oft relit by witnessed words
Exalt such beauty far beyond the stars
So witness, Nay I ask again just this
To share the beauty of the earth with me
To share the salts of hardship yon in stride
Relit by lovers' words eternally
