Walter has a face like he took a shit
and strained so hard
that it stuck.

And when he went a month without drinking
the only thing he said
was that he couldn't remember
the last time
that happened.

They made him get sober
because of the stink of his sweat
and because he was going to die
not sometime in the future
but soon.
Very soon.

So he went to rehab
and instead of 21 days
he stayed for 104.

And tonight he took a 9 month chip.
And told us they let him go back to work again
at the only job he ever had.
