stop...(before you break)

By dismal silence

stop
look
take a second and breathe
ease
this pain
that you have
built up inside
pushed behind
your unheard cries
you keep forgetting
i see behind your minds lies
i see past your fake disguise
i look past your swollen eyes
just look for a second
times taking its toll on you again
you're feeling rushed within
dont know what you're truly feelin
dont like the hand of cards you was delt
lifes like a poker game
you work with what you have been given
until you work your way around
yeah, you may sometimes fall flat to the ground
but you can pick yourself back up
and change cards til you get a good hand
life truly is a gamble
you make choices
gambling on how they will end
praying that it can send
you a different way
than you have been
buy a bottle of pop
hopeing to win
just like in life
it usually says
please try again
but what about those times
that you get something out of it
you gonna stop buying that same pop
because you lost a few?
how did you feel when you got something out of it?
better right?
thats why you have to keep up the fight
of this sometimes tortured life
somedays are good, others are bad
sometimes you're happy, sometimes sad,
stop
and breathe
before it all gets to you again
stop
and think
before terror sinks back in
stop and wonder
before you start to shake within
