Safe In His Arms

By Mischevious Princess

A week spent working together,
trying to stay in step...
Finally a party,
That makes us all relax.

Lots of dancing and acting crazy
This is the life of a marching band member.

A tall goofy cowboy dressed in
much more than a red plether vest,
dark summer tan and knee weakening smile.
This is my attraction.

As I stand next to him,
I see the sweat glistening on his brow.
I smell plether and valve oil.
It's an odd attraction...
that I have.

He sees me.... much different than him.
A quiet rebel decked out in Metallica gear.

I'm sure he smells vanilla
as he stands next to me.

It's odd but somehow I feel safe
With his arm around me and the
Music and laughter fades away..
