How many tears

By Omalleyjr

How many tears can be shed form these eyes of grey
focused upon the pain of a broken heart
beneath a cage of bone and flesh
How many tears can roll out of these eyes that only see sorrow of a lonelyman
as his dreams fade like the sun below the horizon on a dark rainy late spring day
while the rain pours down form the deep grey clouds high above his head
It is more than you may ever know
a whole lot more
they can come just as easly as ripping a piece of paper
or even moving a finger
but at the same time it they can not come at all
were nothing can break you down
no mater how or what happends to you
so when that time comes
and you know it will
stand up
scale your walls that block you from your goal
and try to live on
But i ask again
how many tears fall from your soul
deep within you
when the bomb goes off
or the window breaks
and all your hopes, dreams, fantacies, love and life
are ripped, bruised, broken, scared, tattered, and shamed
and eventually just up right
disapear
