Dances With Swords

By MidniteBlaze

Here I am happy as can be
spirits raised as high as they can good
feeling just so goddamn good about myself
this heavenly feeling I get

(They stay surrounding me)

I can express my true feelings
and I really truly care
I get the feeling in return
and it feels so good

So free
so high
so...

(One comes closer)

Something wrong?
what did I do?

(Another joins the first)

Hmm...I really cannot believe this
what was done wrong
things were just fine
now suddenly turned to the pits

(Two more join the last two)

What the hell is this all about
what happened to the hopes
the dreams and possibilities
all of which were once driven into my head

(Another four join the previous four and point towards me)

I give up
you win...

(The swords strike relentlessly, straight for the heart)

An anolgy
based on experience
the swords represent the emotions
the emotions of someone you love and trust
you would do anything to stay happy as you once were
until you get into a situation that it just does not matter anymore

The only feelings considered are the one you put the trust in
no even a care for the thoughts or opinions you may have
you are all alone
whether struck down in heartbreak
or shocked to the point where your body is uncontrollable
frozen in time forced to see only the bad things
and never ever being able to see the possibilties of anything good

Relentless
selfish
a corrupted mind
has just fucked with yours
unfortunately you are not mentally strong enough or ready
to deal with a peril like in the past yet again
