Forget Me Not?

By MidniteBlaze

The world crumbles before your eyes
you sadly come tumbling down with it
I'd love to catch you my dear
but you are so far away
also in refusal to my offers
my heart goes out to you
(and it's kept to be shattered)
not for the reason you think
feelings are no longer the issue
time and time again

From light to dark
from happy to sad
from good to bad

I'm sorry dear
sorry for whatever I may have done
but do not take it out on yourself
it is not your fault
(but try not to take it out on me either)

Forget me or not
matters not to me anymore
you are happy
I am happy
let us just leave it at that

Everything else has been left behind
crumbled down with the world you dispise
the hopes and dreams shattered
vanished within thin air
the air you breathe
to crush thy soul

You seem happy again
or so you say

(Are you ok?)

As you reassure me
I can only take your word for it

Melancholoy indeed and yet a soft caress. Lovely piece.
