A Couple More Poems

By Saschwann

First Poem:
If you live your life in lies
How can you tell you from your desguise
Buried too deeply to be found
Unable to be heard or to make a sound
Lock yourself in lies and throw away the key
Hide away what happened, hide what came to be
Always be seen as happy, never lose your face
Spin your lieful web, intricate as lace.

Second Poem:
Hulking black masses of authority
Hover over our shoulders with invisibility
Ready to pull us back if we cross the line
Ready to flip the switch if we start to shine
Confined in this cage that we call free
We will never live how we're meant to be
Smothered beyond hope in our own ideals
Starving ourselves with each and every meal.
