The Cycle Continues

Same deal
different person
play it off
every time
like nothing ever happened
rinse, wash and repeat
thus is the game we like to play with my heart

I am tired of the games
tired of the lies
just be up front with me
can no one fullfill my simple needs?

I do not ask for much
and give so much more in return
but what the hell is it all for
time goes by
and the cycle continues on
same shit
different person
the madness never ends
and the restless nights shall persist

Questioning everything and everyone
why should I have to
people are heartless bastards
and I continue to subject myself to such pain

A release is needed
regardless of the consequences
a few sacrifices will have to be made
but will be well worth it
because now I shall take action
treat a friendship like I treat a relationship
I will not fight for something that just is not there

It is time to put a stop to the never ending cycle
and if I must be alone to accomplish it
I honestly do not mind
