Ten Years to the Gallows Pole

By Ablebody Peckawood

As the gavel fell "ten years" the pharasee screamed!
Now it seems all my transgressions have preyed upon me. As my life hangs in their balance. I reflect upon my misdeeds. Each day is filled with brutal savagery.
I've killed to eat, I pray for death. But no man shall steal my last breath.
I look to the horizon and what do I see? Nothing but pain and misery.
Caged with men. Trapped in the wolfs den. Nothing to do but commit deadly sin!
Depressions fingers tighten their grip, reality is starting to slip. Life spun out of control. I gasp my last breath as I hang from the gallows pole!
