Nothing Changes

By MidniteBlaze

Same places
same faces
no matter what
nothing changes

Immaturity builds
to ridiculous levels
why can we not just stay true
to the friends and family we associate with
why must we always make excuses
why can we not just be straight forward with each other
we are driven to lie
to keep others from knowing certain facts
people live lonely lives
because we cannot trust one another
loyalty has ceased to exist
what has become of all of us?

So many questions this day and age
with very few answers
we are limited to what we can do and achieve in life
every day is exactly the same
same shit, different day
no matter what we seem to do
no matter how much people claim to have changed
in general, us as a people
nothing changes

Our society scorns honor and compassion, and loyalty cannot exist. We are lonley because we are afraid of sharing ourselves. We lie to ease pain. It's only my opinion, though. An insightful write.
