Pasty Pale Darkness
By Loserland
Hey just wanted to announce the release of my fifth book: Pasty Pale Darkness.
i started this book in 2002 and finally finished it. James Coffelt made
the cover and it is fucking cool. Anyone interested go to www.lulu.com/loserland
and check it out.
here's my disclaimer for the book:
Pasty Pale Darkness – torn ligaments of despair – a fracture of figmented
imagination. The sum divides into a paradox of halves, each with their
own unique characteristics. Michael “loser” Johnson treads on the enigma
of the all too apparent duality of man. This book contains 3 chapters/
the pasty pale side: a peephole look into the everyday thoughts of a strange
creature. The darkness side: a shoveling of dirt over a still moving corpse.
Complete with 6 vivid tales of terror. The lyrics side: boasts lines of
melody with structured verse. Written and performed with a couple of bands
between 2002-2005. Pasty Pale Darkness contains poems, rants, lines, lyrics,
and loser’s first attempt at short stories. Book #5.
Here's a couple of writings from the book:
saw your picture
didn’t get your permission
suppose it doesn’t matter now
saw you at your finest moment
captured on film by local pigs
leaving you available for wandering eyes
there you were, what were your thoughts?
wrapping that rope around durable limbs
did you pray? yell one last time?
curse the sky or leak a tear?
pre-planned or a coin toss?
the picture says it all
cold and isolated, haunting the hollowness
drool stringing down from your mouth
looked frozen midair, stopped in time
your pant leg displayed where urine oozed
the smell wouldn’t have been pleasant as hours passed
what an embarrassment, what a way to go out
they also photographed your cum-stained sheets
and the pot remains in your ashtrays
as if these elements were as important
as you were there dangling in the wind.
-------------------------------------------------------
I am an introverted vampire
Instead of living forever
I’ve never really lived at all
Instead of needing blood
From an outside source
I must release the blood
That already exists in my veins
Instead of feeding
From the living
I hide away in the shadows
Avoiding any connection
Instead of feeling the thirst
I feel nothing
A truly dead undead

Very well written. The first one was so descriptive that I imagined it as I read on. Cinn is right, filled with truth. Its really sad to think about but that kind of thing does happen. Its a sick world. Anywho, great work.
