the Road

By Nuada

Running behind and looking ahead
i see the raod awaiting
running ahead and looking behind
i see the road is fading
slowing to catch my breathe i sit awhile
and take some time reflecting
stopping to catch my breath i sit awile
and bathe in introspection
my mind made up i take a new direction

* the journey begun i follow the call
* the journey begun i wander afar
* the journey begun i follow the call
* the journey begun i follow the star

stepping ahead and walking behind
my purpose is clear
walking behind and stepping ahead
I travel with no fear
slowing my pace i take time to help
those in need
stopping my race i take time
to plant a seed
their minds made up they stand to take heed

*chorus*

forging ahead the signs i see with
eyes wide open
forging ahead the wonders to behold
on my horizon
finding the calm the road still twists
but i dont curve
finding the calm the road it spins
but i dont swerve
my mind made up i wont loose nerve

*chorus*

refrain

end

this has a great compelling rhythm that actually made me pick up the pace while reading it... i think it would indeed make a great song! i enjoyed the relentlessness of it very much. :)
