Pray For Rain

By call to arms

Today I wake
In tomorrow's thoughts
And with yesterday's sin
Looming on my skin.
I knew
That next week's air
Was too heavy
For last year's requiem.
I was told once
That this next decade
Would be the worst week of my life
And when I questioned his logic
My hands shook.
My brain hasn't been tidy
Since the last time I stayed home,
Each day fades into the last
And the next
And my thoughts just fall away.
