Pacify
By Invader Lyn
dreams of speeding cars without brakes
falling out of building windows
and loved ones begging for mercy
her gestures are filled with wrath
her heart distracted by malcontent
fists through mirrors seize harsh reality
the ceiling comes crashing down again
the room around her is liquid
nothing ever stays as she puts it
he sits unyielding to her outpouring emotion
his idiosyncratic simplicity negates this tragedy
one-sixth her size and purring
she laughs
pacify the nature
placate the girl
the image in the mirror has apple-red eyes
she burns through the glass with a ravenous rage
beneath fallen eyelids and blackened lights
the self inwardly mutters its verses of disgust
music is heard with capped ears
upon clouds of distraction her mind comes to rest
fantasies of getaway cars without destination
flying out of building windows
and loved ones singing praise
pacify the nature
placate the girl

Great write! Some fantastic imagery woven throughout, and I liked the entire 'feel' of the piece... both quietly and overtly on the edge... Excellent.
