Wish
By Invader Lyn
crystalline canopies shake above me
sparkling distractions wink their charm
what lies beyond pulls the veil from my eyes
and I find my hands leaving my face
as the night unfolds the chapters of my life
the trees have my words etched into their trunks
leaves rain down the whispers of my childhood
I kept my path with breadcrumbs in a forest filled with hungry birds
the reflection in the pond holds an identity
fragmented images in a clear natural state
the blue in my eye catches the blue in the water
that extinguishes the fire from the fallen star I hold
