Identity Crisis

By Ideas

Lost another
No turning back
Searching for the truth
In a place lies burnt black
The glass is empty
Who will fill it now?
I've fallen again
But don't know how
Gave it up
Broke the hex
Know my place
But...what's next?
Confusion settles
Hope sustains
Running in circles
Until nothing remains
Lost myself
But that wasn't me
Small sighs, whispered prayers
Can you make me see?

Hm, I like the change of pace, unexpected and subtle, keeping your readers on their toes, I like it! Thanks for the write. Scholar

This has got such a pace, quite frantic at the start, but from "Confusion settles" downwards it slows and closes quite softly. Love it.
