My Moment in Sorrow
By WinterGrave
a memory in the hall
closed eyes
surrender my crys
waking to a desperate call
no understanding
this wicked fallacy in my mind
this warrant for death i can not sign
im all alone in this design
theres nothing out there
nothing but pain
as i feel the burn
a sacred wound will never stop its hurt
this pain i feel, dont know if its real
this cage im in, this cage i can feel
surrender heart now locked in chains
as the serrated edge engraves
tell me the truth of my being
tell me im beyond salvation
tell me im falling away
tell me im falling to an end
~~
now that this groveling sorrow is ended
he never came so nothings revealed
my moment in sorrow
still drips acid on my brow
but no scar assumes
only the lingering pain of a false redemption.
