in the tree of deceit
allow our haloes to fall from our heads
to our necks
& provide a noose
our eyes will bleed
but tears won’t fall
there is no one in this world
who deserves them
the wolves will howl
in the distance
the cicadas will chirp
& moths will circle
our flaming eyes
but tears won’t fall
there is no one in this world
who deserves them
at least no one i know
