A Real Nightmare

By Heart of Stone

I fall asleep at night
Covered by a blanket of memories
Resting my head on a pillow of broken dreams
I close my eyes to see the truth
My mind sinks into the sea of emptiness
The further I fall
The swifter the current
Carrying me to my own end
As much as I fight it
It only becomes stronger
I'm so alone in this borderless ocean
My exsistance is unknown
These dreams that I experience
Are nothing of the sort
They are not dreams at all
But nightmares
The fears that awaken me
The lonliness that haunts me
And the pain that is never ending
This is all too real
It becomes so much more than any emotion
No longer something that I can control
Life is no longer mine
It belongs to my nightmares
And soon they will take me away
