Love Poem for the Hopeless
By Invader Lyn
purple roses lay by the stone
encrypted with messages, I lay alone
those roots I pushed, so when they felt sky
you'd give them back, to mourn when I die
touch me through the earth
breathe life into me
you wonder - could what we had
really last an eternity?
arms around me
not what it should be
you really can't keep
a deadened heartbeat
kiss me soft, with your every breath
you try to give me life
but all I want is your death
please stay with me tonight
I'll lead you through the blackest light
with our grey faces
we'll witness the desolate places
where black cats chase fervent bats
and midnight tries to chase us
down paths lined with glowing pumpkins
we'll madden the innocent
with our wicked hauntings
letting myself sleep was just the beginning
stay with me and forget the living
I've been written into the pages of this macabre tale
where fairies cry and banshees wail
over soft decaying earth
led through a Demon's Dream
you let yourself give in to me
and I spread your ashes in the black stream

Oh this is glorious in its morbidity...it's wonderful to see you here, Stellar. *hugs* Glowing pumpkins...that's just keen.
