the bic memorial
By shortandpretentious
A number of pens
sit in a coffee cup
on my desk
in my room.
Most of them don't work
and as I find the dead ones,
whose service to the author is finished,
I throw them away.
The blue pen I hold now
works,
but in a matter of time
it will wind up with the others
immortalized here

Man some people can write about anything and make it so beautiful, I'm in love with this poem. For some reason I can't stop reading it over and over and it leaves this sad aftertaste in my mouth. Still, this is perfection.

Wish there was more room on my favorite list because this would be on it.

I have these moments sometimes myself, usually when I'm droning out in the desk and am feeling very unmotivated. Well written.
