Is There Hope?

By Midnight Shadow

Rain falling from a grey sky...
I look up from the deep pit I'm in.
Nowhere to run...
I'm trapped.
So weak and tired...
I journeyed far only to be cast into darkness.
Lightning flashes...
Cold and wet, I'm all alone.
Where are you?
Why won't you come save me?
Have you abandoned me?
The rain stops...
I look up again...
Your strong hand reaches down,
Offering me hope.
I smile...
I reach up to take your hand...

There is hope as long as you can still find the light, and it seems like you have, never lose that.

This is one of the few dark poems I have read with a good ending...I loved the " I journeyed far to be cast into darkness" part...It was kick ass, and full of emotions.~Mikey
