My Questions

By Tangent Ponderings

What remains when a storm subsides
The moon is not out
And the sun just hides?

And what remains when you’ve lost your past
While time speeds by
And memories pass?

Who will be there when you lose someone
Whether it’s a true friend
Or a loved one?

Where will you be when you’ve lost yourself
And no one will find you,
Like and old book disguised on the shelf.

When will things be so bad that time stands still
And it hurts so bad
That it makes me ill?

Why is it that troubles and problems fill my life,
Haunt my dreams,
And kill my strife?

So what remains when your past has left you
And tomorrow brings no promise
Of better things to come?
