she's moving on

By thecitymorgue

she sits on the sea wall,
white sand beach before,
black paved boardwalk behind,
in quiet boredom reflection.

the soft ocean breeze brushes by,
people peddle past,
the summer sun satisfies in part,
she longs for a new life.

married,a mother,thirdy,
reflections racing now.
reality,real life.
a need to move on,to be new.

leaving is hard.
how can she tell him.
hurting someone is human,it happens.
her decision made,she's moving on.

Wow, that was a lot of story, real-fast. Way to capture the subtleties of sweetness, balancing the reality. Kudos.

And when she's gone I'll come visit... We can play all the things she wouldn't... On the floor, on the chair, over here, over there, anything you can handle... Seriously I know how it feels for someone to move on... And it wasn't because I couldn't satisfy them, they just wanted someone more human... Scholar
