Because of You
By Anaelle
It's a new day
And I'm feeling fine
(Isn't that a lie among millions?)
I cried myself to sleep last night
But you weren't there to see it
And even if you felt the tears
Stain your fingertips with my pain
You still wouldn't believe it
Or would you just start laughing?
I wish I could...
I wish I could throw it all away
And watch it hit against your face
And laugh like there's no love left
("Smashing your mirror
Still you can see your guilty")
So many poems written
Because of you - for you
So many fucking words wasted
And you won't acknowledge it...
Like some twisted fuck
As if all I did you was harm
And now another poem written
Because of you - for you
But what good does it do?
When you won't acknowledge the fact
Words drifting, without an ear to catch them
Tears lost, among a sea of dried emotions
("How far down would you fall
If you never came up again
'Cause you're so sick of it all
And you wanna change everything")
And I'm still left wandering...
Wondering where it all went wrong
Where it all turned into a nightmare
And I'm still waiting...
For you to tell me my tears are precious
For you to tell me I'm not to blame
For you to tell me...it's okay
For you to tell me...
...What the fuck happened

This is an awesome poem. This is word for word exactly how I feel right now about my breakup. Thank you for showing me I am not the only one who feels this way.
