Midnight Rain

By Anaelle

A steady beating
Against the already wet pavement
Brushing, slipping off leaves
Descending forever, together
Almost as one unified body
Falling against already formed puddles
Little sparkles of splashes
Shining with the light of the moon
Itty bitty dancing angels
Giggling imps, slick and wet
Devilish fun
Stolen under the darkened night sky
Whispered sin
Brushing against and past wet ears
Drenched, soaked skin
Shivering softly with mad delights
Of resurrected pleasures
Long forgotten with failed love
Falling still, heaven's tears
Crying for pain fresh and old
Wounds healing with a fresh start
