Healing

By Anaelle

I can't contemplate
This loneliness in my heart
You took it all away
And left me completely bear
Don't you feel it?
Can't you see it?
The burden in your hands
Those little things that were my emotions
Crumpled pieces of paper
Silly little poems - all for you
I meant to send them all
But you took away the chance
Letters - brittle with dried tears
I cried for you
Daily
I cry for you
Nightly
But you still don't see it
The emptiness in my eyes
The tremble in my voice
The minute I'm reminded of you
The shake in my hands
When I try to call you, the numbers blur
Constant overflow of tears
All for you
You just don't know
The struggle I go through
Never wanting to leave my bed
The world tortures me
With thoughts of you
And I want to scream your name
But you're holding my voice too
And I'm struggling to breath
Without you
But you won't let me near
You stay just out of reach
Why are you teasing me so?
Are you hanging me on a string?
Ready to pull me back when you're in need
Who says I'll be on the end...
I can't close the gap
The hole in my chest
Waiting for you to heal
Yourself in Me
