Drowning in You

By Anaelle

I drowned in your emotions
Became clouded with your love
But hate held me as an anchor
Hair floated, in tangles
Impossible to brush with fingers
Skin turned blue
I can't remember
Can't remember when I stopped
Breathing
My lungs filled with water
Water so long ago
Water filled with tears
Shed from both of us
So long ago
You became overwhelming
I couldn't breathe on my own
And you let wet fingers
Slip through yours
Couldn't find a strong grasp
Catching naught but water
With bloody fingertips
I drowned in you
Trying to breath you in
Drowned in you
