Fogged

By Anaelle

I don't know how it is
But you've surrounded me again
Creeping around like a shadow
I didn't think love could suffocate
But you're tightening around the pain
And I'm left searching for air
Romantic - at first - like fog
How sweet it clouded my vision
Seeped in through my mind
And invaded all sense of reason
But your caresses stayed soft
When they only lasted for a second
And then turned into a viper
Stinging my emotions to shreds
But you stayed ignore of it all...
And I refused to turn away
For fear of losing you
Mist cold against colder skin
Where the tears fade to nothing
And you refuse to hear them fall
You simply can't see standing in fog
A burning touch you'll never feel
Because you're pushing me away
I can't cling to something I can't see
Even if it is based on love...
And you'll never know what you have
Until it all just fades back into the fog
Leaving you...clear of me
