Watered Tears

By Anaelle

I didn't want to let go of you
Water slipping down a waterfall
You pried my fingers from your hand
But how could I say no?
I've always been in the shadows
You never felt my gaze on you...
But you threw your voice...
- In my direction
Screaming out your pain
I can't turn away from anger
Even as the tears slip from closed eyes
The water tumbles down the rocks
I can't turn away from you
Strip me naked
Curse my love
Invade my silence
I'll never smile...but I refuse to frown
And you always ask me why - how
...You always come to me
Because I'm so easy to forget
The rush of a waterfall can't be ignored
And you'll always tumble down
I know I'll pull the peices together...
...Again
