Flabbergasted

By spaniellie

Founded by the foundation that
Continues to stab me in the back
And crumble beneath the weight
Of my demons and dark insight

Smothered by the hot air I create
To comfort me as I snuggle with
The society I hate and the never
Ending search for my purpose and light

Blinded by the biased ways of
My true self only revealed in the
Pain I breathe through the course
Shadows of a descending night

Confused about the world I see
All my loved ones I don’t appreciate
And all the things that bring
Me down when I am holding on for life

Irony bliss
The chaos in this
Life of mine
The pain inside
Is so divine
In the dim world that is so fine
Looking past the dark sonnets
Of my passing heart conformed
In the loss and past memory
Of love and true feeling
I am the lost soul in the human being
